Dreaming with rain

It's cold

It has been too hot, so I'm dreaming with a bit of rain and cool weather.

The Penha Longa in the distance

The Penha Longa - in the distance

The roofs on the left belong to a convent school near my house. Belong to the Dorotheans Sisters (Saint Dorothea).
A big rock between the two araucarias - at the right side of the roof - is the Penha Longa (more or less translated by Big Rock) and belongs to a Quinta that has an hotel.
There, in XIV century, was built a convent: the Convent of Penha Longa.
Now is a golf resort.

Look at that sky, isn't that wonderful?

For Sky Watch Friday.

Some clouds

This picture was not taken today but it could have been: today the day is like that, a bit hot and the sky has some clouds.
This is the "serra" of Sintra, a kind of mountain, not very hight but very long. Here we see only a bit of it, it's like a long and sleeping dragon.

Quinta do Relógio

Would you like to have a seat ?

Would you like to have a seat?
This is a corner of the Quinta do Relógio, on the right side of the street that takes us to Monserrate and Seteais.

The Park

I like this corner

A park in town in a sunny day.
It's called Parque da Liberdade, "Freedom Park", which is rather silly. It belongs to the Palácio Valenças, the Valenças Palace.
This is a corner down in the park, near the street. It's quite big and has, above its top, another street, so one can go inside the park in three places and chooses to walk down or up.

The National Palace

Isn't that beautiful ?!

The National Palace with the characteristic chemneys.
You can also read about it here.

The fog is quite common in Sintra which gives a certain air of magic to the place.
